How to Reach Bandhavgarh National Park
By Air:
The closest airport to Bandhavgarh is Jabalpur Airport (JLR), located about 200 km from the park. It offers regular flight services from major cities like Delhi and Mumbai, making it the most convenient air route. Although Khajuraho Airport is slightly nearer, flight options are limited. From Jabalpur Airport, you can hire a taxi to Bandhavgarh, with a travel time of approximately 4.5 hours by road.
By Train:
The nearest railway station is Umaria, just 35 km from Bandhavgarh National Park. Another major station nearby is Katni, which also provides good rail connectivity. Trains from cities such as Delhi, Agra, and Jabalpur frequently stop at these stations. After arriving, taxis are readily available for a short drive to the park. From Delhi, an overnight train journey takes about 12–14 hours.
By Road:
Bandhavgarh is well connected by road to nearby towns and cities. While no direct bus services operate between Jabalpur and Bandhavgarh, you can easily hire a private taxi or drive your own vehicle. Thanks to well-maintained roads, the national park is easily accessible from major locations across Madhya Pradesh and neighboring states.
